The previous posting which began "Our beloved hobby" has kicked up a mini-firestorm of opinion. It was (if you don't already know) an opinion piece by a writer with a sociological leaning, suggesting that our hobby has some work to do if we're hoping to look squeaky clean. If you like to laugh, I would like you to consider reading my short story, "My Greatest Find", a humorous piece based upon a Lionel train collector I once knew who was everything you probably don't want to see in a train hobbyist. If you're a Lionel follower, there's plenty there to entertain. Hope you enjoy it.

Fascinating story that has elements of forced humor and themes that are antithetical to almost everything I know about most train collectors. Poetic justice would be if the clear shells melted in the sun on the way back to Ohio. As a cartoon this had merit; as a story about a great find, Grimm would be proud.
