Just wondering, mostly because of the summertime temperatures, how many of you guys have actually built "0" gauge, permanent, outdoor layouts. Something like the "G" gaugers have done. I mean, have you actually graded and buildt a roadbed, layed track, maybe added scenery for some special effects. Most of us consider "0" gauge RR's to be an indoor activity, usually persued in winter months.
Fro an outside layout, you'd need stainless steel track, probably plastic ties, special treated wood for construction. I'd find it interesting to hear and see photos of what some of you guys might have done outdoors. Would you build a connection to bring the trains indoors on their own in case of bad weather?
