Erik,
When I say "stupid boy" I am referring to me, myself & I ONLY.
ChipR
I am with Harmon and others - I restrict my searches. This one turned up in O Scale 2-rail, which I have further restricted, maybe at Chip's suggestion, to no HO, no H.O., no Lionel, no Marx, no MTH, etc etc, and I get three pages of mostly stuff I might want to look at. I also have O Scale brass imports, and O Scale brass. Just asking for O Scale - other gets you thousands of things useful in O-27.
I kind of doubt that....
Erik,
If you ever decide to convert it back to Ow5 I have sets of USH UP 2-8-0 drivers I'd be willing to trade.
Jay
mwb. Wow. You are right. I've rarely gone to the "Other" category. Just did. Lots of interesting stuff. Gonna go there on a regular basis.
Dang! Now the word is out...."other" is where I have always looked, now first, when
I started looking for certain kits, and then I narrow down to see if I missed something...
No reduction this time?
If I had done all of that work, I would have sprung for some gauge decals that you could read.quote:"That is a beautiful model, the detailing within the cab itself is enough to keep me busy for hours.""Like Chip Foose says " it's all in the details"."
His name is Andrew Revis.
These are his comments:
Yes the model is pretty nice, but your photos really do it justice. I built it over a three and one half year period from 2010 to 2014. I thought that I had it almost done in 2012 and I took it to the O scale west meet in Santa Clara but still a work in progress stage and then I found a mistake on it, the running boards were mounted a scale three inches too low. The only way I could correct it was to COMPLETELY rebuild it and make new running boards. While it was only a mistake of 1/16th inch everything else had to be moved 1/16th of an inch, so while I had it apart I did some more work on it and on other parts that I was not happy with. It was going to have sound and a DCC system but the only ones that would fit where not rated with enough amps. The STEAM DONE is the only original part that was used as is. The only reason I sold it was because it was just a little too big. I am looking for a ten wheeler of the SP.Your photos did show me something that I missed. I forgot to paint the edges of the window glazing. When done properly you do not even know it is there. Any way, glad you like it. If you have any questions about it drop me a note. Andy
Let him know that the ten wheeler - at least the Harrimans - are bigger than the Consolidation, and may not take the same radius?
It's awesome the builder contacted you and told you all of that great information!
The builder sure takes pride in his work!
I envy him. It's beautiful.
Seeing all the P48 folks at the National this past week reminded me of Andrew, he passed away recently in Kansas he will be missed greatly.
