Most of my layout is covered in plaster cloth, but there are parts where bare blue insulation foam is showing.  I want to get a nice earth-tone brown to paint the entire base before I start adding ground foam and such.  What type of paint can I use that will not eat the foam?   Will a latex house paint work?

Homedepot has sample containers in carts at the mixing area.  I get them for 58 cents for a pint of various.  I got Tans and browns and for under 3 bucks!!!!!!

Latex house paint would be fine, but unless you need a LOT, just use craft acrylic from WalMart. Cheap and available in many colors.  Raw sienna is nice for your purpose.

If you do go with house paint, check out the "oops" shelf at your home center store.
