2 part question. has anyone painted the rails on thier fastrack tracks? i have started painting mine and have found that if i use acrylic paint that it does not stick too well to the rail, so i have had to use the enamel paint pens then go over that with the acrylic to acheive the color i want. also i know people are saying to not paint the tops of the rails, but i am a little confused because if there is a center pick up roller isnt that where the train is picking up the "juice" from the track and as long as the center rail is not painted you should be ok? If i cant/shouldnt paint the top of the rails how far up can i go with the paint since the top of the rail has rounded edges was not sure where to stop painting. this is my fist time painting track.
