MWB,

Thank you.  Is there a "right"&'wrong" way to do this & safety precautions to be used? I'm thinking ventilation is important 1st for human safety. I never did this,so I'm assuming use a rag and wipe the rail until clean.(?) Then do I follow up with something else to remove the cleaner itself before running trains on the rail?

Thank you.

Use just enough to do the job on a rag or even paper towel to minimize the fumes; bag the trash up and take it outside to finish evaporating.  Leave open only just enough to do the job.  Put a fan in the doorway if you are concerned.  Oh, power off the track,

There won't be anything to remove after that's done.  Wipe it down with a dry rag or paper towel if you want.
