I have a battery powered version my son got me for a birthday present a few years ago (gotta love a kid like that!).  He got it at a local hobby shop, and it's served me well.  I use Floquil paints almost exclusively, and if the paint hasn't been used in a while, you have to stir the thick pigments off the bottom, but once loosened, it takes only about a minute to get it to spraying consistency.  Saves a lot of shaking by hand...

Had mine at least 4 years now...110v version...nary a problem.

We (LHS) sell about two of these a month.  We no longer carry the battery-powered version because it seems to have some 'systemic' problems.  Besides, after awhile you get tired of paying for/recharging batteries.  Folks in the painted fingernails business in particular love these shakers.

I, also, ditched their rubber straps.  They don't last.  Sturdy rubber bands do just as well and are always kicking around.

Anyhoo...highly recommended!

Just tried it...works fine!  But, I don't usually use the shaker for those soft-bottled craft paints.  Reason: They don't seem to separate as much as the Testors/Floquil/etal types.  Plus, I tend to go through those faster in my workshop/on the layout than the more expensive types...they don't have a chance to settle!!  Actually, they're so thick that I have to thin them anyway, and I only use them in scenery/weathering work...not painting brass engines, etc..

I've also dropped a B-B into every glass-bottled paint that I have.  That, plus the shaker, really does a good job working the sediment off the bottom of a bottle.  Not long ago I came across some REALLY old bottles of Testors model paint...you know, the 1/4 oz. ones that had '15C' printed on the bottle cap!! (remember those days?  I do.)  Those enamels were FULLY separated.  I decided to put the shaker and the paint to the test.  Put a B-B into each bottle, shook each one on the shaker about 5 minutes (...while I did something more important at the workbench, right?) and every one of them is as good as new!!   Of course, at the rate I use them, , it was a fun experiment probably going to no good use!...except to prove the effectiveness of a B-B and the shaker.

FWIW, always...
