Not sure this is the place to post this, but..
Just got a 1980s vintage 1/25 scale model of the General loco from The Great Locomotive Chase. It look very much like the one in a museum in Kennesaw (Big Shanty), Georgia, that I think is the restored original (?).
Lots of plated parts that are supposed to be brass, but have aged to a chrome look. What to I need to do to get the metallic brass look back. I don't have access to an air brush and don't know how to use one if I did.
Also, are the any repro decals for this model? The ones in the box look mighty brittle.
