I need suggestions on how to paint a building roof to look like a weathered green copper roof for a station building. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't had occasion yet to attempt this, but I'd say an appropriate shade of subdued matte green, with a fair amount of matte white added, would be a good start. After the base coat is to your liking, mixing a lighter version and 'streaking' it down the roof to simulate further corrosion from channeled rain, etc. should yield a fair simulation IMHO. I'd try a few test runs first on scraps to be sure you like the effect before painting the piece. Good luck!
Here's a link to a Shutterstock stock photo that illustrates the kind of effect I had in mind:
We use Benjamin Moore color BM634 which we affectionately call Patina Louise.

Can this be used on plastic?

Hi Dave,
It should be ok, although I can't speak to long term effects. The containers say water based and applicable on any paintable surface. The downs points I painted a little under a year ago were plastic (from an Atlas O kit) and show no issues.
