Was watching the Godfather last night and again saw the painting of the NYC ESE wood burner with several woodsided passenger cars. It was in the scene where Don Corleone was meeting with the heads of all the families after Sonny was killed.

Anyone know where this painting was from? I wonder where it is today.

In "Godfather II," my family name, with the original spelling, shows up on the front edge of a confectionary store awning, adjacent and to the left of the barber shop, which young Don Corleone (Robert DiNiro) and the Landlord, who wants to evict the lady with her dog, come out of.

The street scene is actually on the Lower East Side, (both sides of the street), on East 6th. street, between Ave. A and Ave. B.

The street set is designed to represent the early Twentieth Century, in Little Italy, Mann., N.Y.C., N.Y.

I visited Coppolas' winery in Sonoma and he has a large model of a train engine in some kind of museum at the winery. It seems he has some connection with trains, but I don't remember what that is exactly. I don't either remember if that train painting was in the winery, could have been. He has a lot of artifacts from all his movies there.
