I didn't do a park steam locomotive but I did do a caboose. I had a cosmetically perfect but otherwise junky 1990s Lionel smoking caboose that I didn't really know what to do with. Not far from my home, Gaitherburg MD has restored the old B&O Station and Freight House (which contains a nice museum) and outside is the BC&G #14 2-8-0, a caboose, and a B&O RDC. Previously, there was a B&O I-12 and a WM troop sleeper.

Regardless, here are a few shots. No direct shot but this may get an idea.

And a few shots of the "inspiration".... surprisingly, with a number of photos of the #14 and RDC, I don't have any decent ones of the caboose. The caboose has since been repainted. The side facing the parking lot has the city logo I believe and is used as a "billboard" type car for the museum and city. Was previously painted in a red Chessie OLS scheme. When news came it was being repainted a year or two, my hope was full Chessie yellow but no such luck.
