The part in the picture I've attached is the frame (it's what the side frames attach to) for the rear trailing truck on the locomotive. Does anyone know if this part is available from MTH, and if so what is the part number?

You can try e mailing Midge at MTH parts dept and attach the pic and the locomotive number it's from.
Below is the link to the parts list for Premiere Steam Locomotives.
Do you happen to have Midge's email address? I went to the MTH site, and it wasn't readily available.
What happened to that thing. Looks cracked in half. May be easy to make if unavailable.
It's actually broken in five pieces. Happened in shipping. Probably is not a normally stocked item.
If I still had access to a mill I would have made one already. It looks like it is pot metal so right now I'm researching casting it in pewter vs white metal. Anyone with experience casting in either metal?
Since it’s a trailing truck I would think MTH should have the entire assy.
There are always trailing trucks on eBay - I've bought them for current or "someday" projects. There may be one like this out there. Search for more than your loco stock number, of course; these no doubt were used on multiple "20-xxxx-x" items.

Excellent suggestion, I never even considered ebay.
