I recently had my first locomotive a Pennsylvania flyer 4-4-2 returned to me by my Aunt. My uncle tried to fix it but passed away before he could complete the repair. I need to know how to wire up the electronic E unit. I've tried and can't get it to work. I am including pictures of the e unit and how I currently have it wired. Please help, this engine means a lot to me.

The black and green to the left go to track power.  The other two near the 4 Transistor go to a DC motor.  The black two at the back are the lockout switch.

Are you sure it is good?  Is the motor good?  A lot of times the motor goes bad an then burns out a transistor on the E-Unit.  New e units are about $20.   G

I tested the motor with a DC transformer disconnected from the rest of the wiring. It seems to run fine. The E unit could be bad my next step is to order a new one. However what do you mean by track power? The pickups? The black wire is connected to the rollers and the green wire is currently connected to the frame of the locomotive. is that right?
