Seeking photos of the outside 3rd rail 0 scale RR existing on the upper street level of the station.

This was a fairly large island layout which included a well done trolley line.   Any and all photos appreciated no matter the quality of the composure or focus.

This set the hook for me many years ago, just like to revisit it in photos if possible.

Thank you.  tt

The CV layout is a metamorphic stage of the Philly B&O layout effort  (no connection with the traveling B&O layout).

Many of the folks and much of the equipment were relocated to Merchantville NJ prior to the fire which destroyed the terminal.  Cherry Valley's original 2 rail layout  existed for about four decades.   About sixteen years ago the present layout was  started with all new benchwork, track, wiring, controls,  etc.  A total fresh start.

Many members have changed over the years and sadly most of the original individuals are no longer with us.

My thought is to acquire and preserve as much photographic history of their very first layout in Philly.

So......pictures please.

Thanks, tt

A couple of club members have recently been working on a section of the layout aptly named 'Wilson Junction' for the late member Kermit Wilson. The main feature of this section is a passenger station and platform that originally was part of the B&O station layout. We do have a few other items from that layout too.

Tom? Ernest? you guys have photos of your work to post?

Dear Tom(and List members),

I will check our archives and see if we have any photos of the old Philly layout and I will make sure we put them on this thread.

Kermit Wilson was working on restoring the passenger station at the time of his death which came over in 1962 from the old club, so we have renamed that area Wilson Junction.

I will also check with Al Small to see what he has as he was one of the original members of the CV club in Merchantville-retired from the club.

Thank you,

John

Chris, I do have early new rendition 2002 photos,

First up is the On30 interchange section.

Then the 30th street passenger yard & station area and finally the one piece under/over bridge support.

Kermit was one of those quiet, gentle, consent souls.  Nice for him to have a tribute where he loved to be.  Thanks guys!
