It rained on Mon. Tues. & Wed. so everything was moved inside to 2 ballrooms & several other rooms.

Not to be silly, but is this bandit show going on at every York?
Eddy, having never made it to a York, what and why is there a bandit show? Doesn't look like many buyers. Thanks Don
It was a chance for non-TCA members (also known as "public") to interact with dealers who would be setting up later in the week in the meet at the fairgrounds. TCA members would also go to make "York week" longer, and maybe get what they wanted before the mobs showed up at the meet. I'm guessing this was especially attractive for those traveling a long way to get to York.
Like all "flea market"type events, less dealers now show up, thanks to eBay. Some complain that the Thursday addition to the meet "killed" the bandit meets. I, personally, don't agree.
Thanks for the photos, Eddie G--don't think I recall seeing any before your thread.
To answer some of your questions, The tca meet start on Thursday was to kill the bandit shows. It worked for awhile, but the last 4 or 5 years it has been slowly coming back. It is on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. There are a lot of buyers. These pictures were taken late in the afternoon. Yes, the bandit meets go on at every York.
I always laugh when I read about these "Bandit" meets...I would fully expect to see vendors wearing bandanas over their faces and packin "heat" to make that "too good to be true sale".... LOL
