Can you educate me on what these are? A photo if possible.
If you are talking about the ACF hitches like these:
Lionel makes a pretty good rendition for their PS4 Flats with Piggy Back trailers.
You might be able to buy the hitches individually directly from Lionel. Go to Lionel's website, click "support," then "replacement parts" Plug in product number 6-17582, and scroll down until you find the hitches
If that does not work, contact me off line. I may have some I can sell you

I remember the ACF model A hitches. So many people got hurt on them. It was a happy day on the railroad when the knock down hitches went away. The TTAX cars had both hitches and fold down container pedestals. Somewhere they would lift load a trailer without folding down the pedestals and the car would show at a circuits loading ramp and they could not get the trailer off. I designed a set of oak blocks to ramp the trailer wheels up over the pedestals.
O scale America at Des Plains Hobbies has the ACF hitches in brass. cost is mid $20's
