I always wonder a wee bit about offending purists by repainting postwar classics, but from time to time I get something that's in such shape that one would either want a better-looking original shell or a complete restoration. I enjoy painting my own thing when the engine or car is in rough shape or not likely to be sought after. Here are a few pix of a redone Lackawanna FM shell, a trashed #400 Budd car shell and an inexpensive tank car, all redone for my family-named road. Would like to see others' repaint efforts, also!
