I have been reading and reading about adding sound devises to diesels which has only confused me more therefore, I am asking for your expert advice. I have a Williams F7 that is a great runner but it has no sound. I want to be able to add something to the diesel or the dummy that will mimic a diesel idling, running, etc that changes with the motor speed, plus a horn, and a bell that activate when those buttons are pushed on my conventional transformers. Not interested in any other bells and whistles (did I really say that?). I appreciate your thoughts.

MRC also makes a track voltage sound unit that is cheap and easy to install. It isn't very loud, but if you install it with a baffle, or if you mount it with the speaker firing up in a B unit that has some screening on the side to let the sound out, it's enough. I installed one for a friend a couple of months ago and he was quite pleased with it.

There's an MRC tech who posts here sometimes who has offered OGR Forum members a deal on pricing. I got a stack of them that way, but it was a couple of years ago and I forget the details. Maybe if you search the forum on MRC, you can find something about it.

If someone makes a sound card like this, I will buy it! I like the female Mallard. Wonder if we could also get the Aflac duck to do some freight announcements and crew talk?
