The matrix is disconnected now but I still have the equipment. If you can still locate some older telephony 1A2 Matrix blocks they work great. They were used in the pre digital days of older 1A2 Key equipment. They were installed to provide selective ringing to multiple keys sets with multiple lines. In their day you could find whole walls covered with them. They were modular and allowed expansion top to bottom ,left to right as large a system as you needed. You can still see some of the diodes left on the one block.

When I worked at the telephone company, using those matrix blocks, we occasionally needed many more diode blocks than would fit on a closet wall. We came up with a clever plan to condense the footprint.
If you are really interested in creating a very easy to use, logical and cheap diode system, please contact me directly by email info(at)SIBTA(dot)com.
I can offer you a simple explanation and some equipment for the price of shipping.
Since I am criticized, insulted and contradicted most times when I offer electrical advice on this forum, my new policy is to assist privately.
