Polar Express last minute emergency!

Sleigh bell fails just out of warranty, how convenient. No parts available for this bell, maybe more of Lionels planned obsolecence?

I guess you could wait for a VL sleigh bell, triple the price of a regular sleigh bell but, it will have a 2 year warranty.

Ah this calls for desperate measures...I recommend viewing a certain movie. Break out the hot chocolate and if the bell still does not ring for you expect a train ride later this evening.

Not hearing the sleigh bell means you no longer believe.  Once you fix that then the bell will ring again.

Thank you all for the suggestions.  I just got home now and will head over to the tree to give the believing a try.  If that doesn't work I'll move on to the hot chocolate.  Should I use the regular type or go for a higher end product with all the fixings?  Before I get to this movie, do you think there are any pointers in the book by Chris Van Allsburg on the operation of the Polar Express?  I have a copy of that I picked up some time ago.  Anyway, I give it all a try and report back later this evening or tomorrow morning.

we were at Barnes and Noble last night, and I looked thru a copy of the book. I like the movie way better. If it were me, this close to zero hour, I'd ask our resident Berkshire engineer for operating tips.

I hope the bell reset last night into this morning.  I understand it has a very unique charging system that runs off of milk an cookies.
