"POLAR EXPRESS" LRT WRAP FOR NEW LINE

Houston METRO opened its new North Line extension this last Saturday. For the opening, they wrapped two LRT cars, 218 and 219. Using the Lionel O-27 PE train as an inspiration, HM came up with the NORTHLINE EXPRESS. HM got the train right, even to the color of the 9500 type cars and even thumbtack uncouplers! Sorry, do to the weather on Saturday, I did not get any pictures.

The opening of the lline extends the Red Line about 5.5 miles from Univ. of Houston Downtown to Northline commons, and adds about 5 stations.
