The E1 A-B is currently on the 3rd rail website and the F3's were just run for 2nd time so what engine are you holding out for?

Just an FYI, the Next Stout Auction Feb 10th Lot #394 has a set of NINE GGD/SF El Capitan cars going up for auction. Good Luck to those that bid!

They found a good home! Hope to see these cars produced again in the future!

The locomotives that go best with the hi-level El Cap cars are the F7s. I missed out on those in ATSF. I do have a set of first run units in 2 rail and PRR. Now that my ATSF car fleet has expanded, I wouldn't mind seeing another run of F7s so I can get an proper L-A-B-C set. Of course if the FP45 takes off first, three of those would do the trick too even if my RPO would not be appropriate for that era train.
^ F3 A-B-B-A for me or the 3751. Granted an F7 would be perfect but I have not had a chance to add them to the collection yet. Perhaps on a future run.
Would definitely buy a set in 3R. I buy all SF passenger cars and motive power.
My GGD dance card is pretty full but this set is pretty unique. I'd seriously consider it.
A 3rd run of these cars is several years out at best. The manufacturing dance card is pretty full for the next year or so too! Later timing works better for me as I'm out of space to store trains in my current house anyway.
GGD El Cap eight car, 3R set is available from the estate of the former treasurer of my train club. Email me (address in profile) and I'll put you in touch with the fellow handling train sales.
I had all 12 of my El Capitan listed for sale on here and got no takers. The sold on the bay instead. Doesn't seem like too many people are REALLY interested in them.

I appreciate the Bay listing.
We’ll call it the Carolina Capitan!
