Now that many of us have received our Lionel SP cab forwards, let's see them in revenue service on you layout.
Here are a few pictures of my cab forward on the layout this morning.
The caboose is a UP caboose, obviously in pool service.

Beautiful engine and layout room! Looks bigger than my house!
Rich
4286 has just come from being serviced, ready to pick up it's block of ice reefers.
And you'll see it starting at the 10 minute mark of this video pulling it's train
Richard,
How big is ur layout? 072 curves?
Thanks,
Patrick
WOW!! Great vid and layout!
MIKE
Wonderful new engine, Richard. Your were excited when the UPS driver arrived with you package the other day.
Well, today we removed the gifts from under the Christmas Tree and packed up the Cab Forward for it's short trip to the train room. The passenger consist is made up and ready for the new engine. It is supposed to start snowing here shortly, so it may be tomorrow before it makes it's first revenue run. I will post photos when it happens. Should be a beautiful train.
Thanks all,
Laidoffsick, I watched your video the other day. You have a very impressive layout and roster of motive power.
Patrick,
The curves on the two loops are O 96. the room is 31X16.
Passenger Car Collector - I am looking forward to seeing your Cab Forward in revenue service.
Keep the pictures coming.
Richard
You guys scored with this locomotive
It gets the 'Sleeper' of the year award. And I didn't buy one.
Lionel did a fantastic job on this locomotive. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have watching the videos!
Richard,
Fantastic train room also.

Well what are you waiting for? You can still find them out there. You snooze, you lose!
86TA355SR,
I appreciate your comments.
The Cab forwards are still out there. Although I am an NYC guy, I have always wanted a cab forward. I came close to buying an MTH version and one of the first runs of the Lionel version a few years back. I am glad I waited.
Laidofsick,
Thanks
Is the SP caboose I saw in your video one of those custom cabooses made by Malcolm down in Mississippi?
Richard
Yes, that is a custom SP caboose from Brother Love (Malcolm).
He does some great work.
Thanks,
Richard

I chose not to buy one.
If I open the "Flood Gate," I'll never be able to close it
Which is why I buy UP steam only... And, my budget was spent on a locomotive with the initials VLBB!
Well you could "kinda" call it a UP engine cuz it will pull the same string of PFE reefers.. just swap the caboose lol
It's only "1 more" engine.
Very nice, enjoyable video. You can hear the engines working without a whistle blowing every ten seconds. Excellent layout.
Dave, congratulations on this magnificent engine. Every time I look at it, I like it more and more.
Isn't someone's daylight supposed to be in operation now???
Isn't someone's daylight supposed to be in operation now???
No Forrest, as SP4449 is still not finished with the firebox repairs. Maybe next fall.
I assume that that is the "Daylight" you are referring to, as it is really the only "Daylight" remaining in the world.
lol I think he was referring to Brian's CF
Laidoff is correct.
waiting for brian's CF Daylight with his Daylight consist. supposedly the CF came out from under the tree a LONG time ago (yesterday?).
if i had a question about 4449, rest assured, i would have correctly posted on the real trains forum...the best forum of all.
"supposedly the CF came out from under the tree a LONG time ago (yesterday?)."
Now Forrest, you live in Florida and no snow. We got more than expected and spent the morning getting rid of it. Be patient.

My reaction exactly!
84 and sunny in central Florida.
Get the the rotary out!
