Here is Sonny again. Trouble this time my tiu in fixed mode first one shows power one blink. However when I hook into the second mode, I have no lite for power, however engine starts up, but remote shows no engine on track. Again ideas what it wrong. I know I will hear from you guys and gals. Thank you all. Sonny.

Sonny,
There's nothing wrong at all.
The TIU needs power for its own use. It can get it from either the Aux. Power port or from Fixed In #1.
To use any of the other 3 channels, you must have power going into either of the above two places, in addition to the channel that you want to use.
This is explained in great detail on pages 92-93 of The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition.
This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
Thank you Barry, I will have to reread pages 92-93. I have your companion 2. I still think I need more pictures? Well here I go again trying too get those other 3 or 4 different track plans to work. Your the best Barry. Sonny
sonny,
I recommend you purchase the Raido Shack 18/24 AC, 1000mA AC Power Adapter to power your TIU, they are inexpensive and work perfectly. Remember to ask for the adapter plug when purchasing.

sonny,
You can place a listing in this forum's, "Want To Buy". You might save a little. You can also use the power block from a Z500 transformer, I have both. Check my profile for contact info.
Enercell 18/24Volt power supply from Radio Shack. Used in the 18 volt switched position only.
I believe it requires adaptor plug M

We, (Fort Pitt Highrailers), use (2) Z 4000's to power (4) main tracks through a TIU. Standard TIU power is from Fixed (1) In. The wallwart/aux power supply keeps the TIU powered, when Fixed (1) In is not powered. Turn Fixed(1) In off, and you loose all DCS signal/control.
ANy wall wart 12-18 volts, AC or DC, with 1 amp capacity, should also do the trick.
