Premier SD70ACE PS3 DCS Loader error when sending flash code to engine

Why don't you pull the two plugs from the board and reseat them and you should run.   You have an 8 pin plug and a 40 pin plug.  Do not pull the 40 pin by the wires.   Can you fire the couplers?  Your switches on the locomotive properly set?

How many times did you unzip the chain files?  Only do it once.  The loader will take care of the rest.  If you do unzip all of them, you can load them one at a time and it will work.  Also make sure you have a current RevL TIU.  I have had problems trying to load them with an older TIU.

There is  service note that some PS-3 engines get locked in neutral and the method to unlock them is to operate them conventionally and do a feature reset (1W and 5B).  After that do a factory reset via DCS.  Did you try either before going to a reload?  G

don't have a conventional MTH dc controller, just the DCS system powered by a AC 100 watt brick.

Thanks David, I only goto "send Flash Code to Engine" in DCS loader, then click "start" then select a .zip file called P121_F_SD70ACe_5cm120713e-cnsmr.zip

It finds the engine on Address 4, and starts wanting to load the file but comes up with that application error number 4 - ReadEisFields()
