After recording the "I Love Trains" TV show on RFD TV, I found that the whole show was pixelated. I contacted Verizon Fios and the tech offered me a fix I could do myself. I thought I'd pass it along to the forum, and although not entirely train related, it might prove useful to other members who might experience a similar problem. This could pertain to any cable system or any TV show.
Cleaning the copper "stingers" on each of my cable connections has eliminated the pixelation problem I was having. I took each connection apart, pressed the copper stinger into a pencil eraser, turned the pencil a few times, and the copper was clean again. Not every connection was bad, but a few were dark, not quite black, but were nice shiny copper again after cleaning. Thought I'd pass this along if anyone else has a pixelation problem.
