Problems with new Powerhouse 180? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Anyone order the new Powerhouse 180? Specifically the model number 685226 (replaces the 622983)?

Ordered the new one direct from Lionel last year; were apparently on back order and just received recently. The unit did not work, including checked with meter, no output. Lionel customer service was great! Got a quick response and within 4 days had a replacement at my door. However, the replacement doesn’t work either. Switch lights up indicating power is on, but no voltage output. Tried resetting, etc but it’s dead so this one will be going back too.

Quality control problem? Anyone else having issues?

WOW, I'm glad I got a bunch of the old ones, they work great.

At this point I'd tell Lionel to keep the new one and start looking on the secondary market for the 6-22983.

Not to mention, you'll likely save a few bucks as well.

I've seen good prices on the for sale forum here as well as on ebay.
