After 5-7 years confined to a spare bedroom, I just got the nod from the family that I can have our basement back for trains. The kids, 3 now grown, want the bedroom freed up, but don't use the basement.

I'm adding DCS to my TMCC on this layout. I'd like to avoid investing in new transformers since I have so many, fine-working post war transformers: 2 RWs, 2 LWs, 2 TWs, 2 1033s. I also have a modern BW and a modern Williams. Current layout uses Powermasters with fused wiring harnesses, but realize I have to provide my own fuses for the DCS TIU.,

Several have suggested fast-blow fuses. Ace has them, but not with leads and no fuse holders to wire to. The auto stores I've checked have fuse holders but no fast-blow fuses.

These 10A, 125VAC fast-blow with leads at Mouser look like they'd serve my purpose.

Easy to splice between each transformer and TIU hot input and each TIU hot output and track.

Right wiring strategy? Right fuses? Suggestions welcomed as I've not done this before.

I like the AGC type glass fuses because  you can see when they are blown without pulling them.  I also happen to have a stash of them.
