I guess this post is for Gunrunner or an other tech.  Auxiliary Tender Wiring Harness for the MTH 611 J.

This harness is going to be installed in the J main tender which has a PS2 upgrade in it.

Following the diagram MTH included with the kit , coupler wires, it LOOKS? like the brown wire on

the 12 pin protosound circuit board connector goes to the black wire  on the aux tender kit 4-pin

connector, and also goes to the upper black wire on the protocoupler installed in the tender (looking

at the coupler from its underside) - correct?

The brown wire on the selector switch should go to the lower black wire on the coupler when looking

at the couplers underside.

The black wire on the selector switch LOOKS like it goes to the purple wire on the 12 pin protosound

PS2 upgrade circuit board connector.

The instruction sheet warns to follow directions to the tee or risk a dead short.  I do not want to do that!

The back up light is no problem, dark green connector (polarized) to the light green connector on the light green

connector on the 12-pin protosound board harness.

Need input to prevent a disaster.

thanks,

bruce

It would be hard to tell you what the directions are saying without the directions posted.

The brown wire from the 12 pin is the ground to fire the rear coupler.  The purple wire is the positive DC voltage to power the coupler.

So the tender coupler needs a purple and brown connection to fire.  One comes via the switch to select which coupler fires, and the other comes directly from the 12 pin to each coupler.   What color wire is on the center post of the switch?  G

John,

The way I read the diagram from MTH - the brown wire (coupler connector) goes to the black on the 4 pin female connector.

The purple should go to the black on the center position of the selector switch.

That is exactly the information I was trying to verify.

I think you and I are on the same page.

Let me know how it works.
