Will Protocraft's RTR couplers negotiate 48" curve radii when installed on freight equipment over 50'?

Since these couplers only have 1 shank length available,I'm wondering if they'll be able to be used successfully on 89' autoracks,65' bulkhead lumber cars & 60' Atlas 25,500 gallon tankers.(?)

I'm planning on using 48" curves on sidings & yards,but 54" & 50" curve radii on Mainlines.

Thanks to everyone in advance for your help.

Thank you Charlie. I'm in Indiana so no I can't make the West Show,or any others for that matter,as I'm in an area that's an O Scale "desert."I've asked Norm about this months ago. His reply wasn't satisfactory at all. He sort of sent my question right back at me,as I asked him the same question as I posted here & he said my success would depend on track radius & shank length. Well with only 1 shank length available, there's not anything I can do about that short of cutting metal & custom fitting it to his coupler head. I'm also limited on track radii. So in the end, I had the same question.I sort of get the idea that coupler was meant for the steam era,not modern diesel.Thank you for your input.

Norm also goes to the Chicago Show. That's not that far from Indiana.

They have more than one shaft length in their couplers but with the longer shanks you need to assemble them yourself. Cut in a small piece of a paper clip to the top of lift pin and it will be magnetic.
