Based on this TCA article http://www.tcaetrain.org/artic.../tinplate/index.html, I'm going to say that my prewar switchers can be included in here if they operate on tinplate track:

Ah, the one and only Standard Railway of the World, also affectionately known as the "Pennsy" and "PRR". Many of us lament the vandalistic destruction of the GREAT Penn Station in NYC, modeled after the classical Roman baths, and built under the direction of one of its greatest presidents, Alexander J. Cassatt, whose sister incidentally was the famous American Impressionist artist, Mary Cassatt. Penn Station was an absolutely grandiose monumental edifice, that should never have been demolished for the unremarkable building that replaced that treasure. I am glad I was able to visit, and travel to and from this remarkable station, on several occasions in the fifties and early sixties. A great architectual loss for NYC and the world!
I was lucky to have been there, although at a very young age.

At 76, I was old enough then to have some vivid memories! The famous Glen Miller song, Pennsylvania 6-5000, evokes memories of the Hotel Pennsylvania, that was once located near the station.
I have ridden behind Pennsy GG1's and also Pennsy-leased steam on the great LIRR in the 1940's and early fifties. Great memories!
I believe model train folks of every persuasion will keep.the keystone railroad alive on their layouts for many years to come, regardless of gauge or scale! Hooray for the Pennsy! May we never forget that mighty road!

I remember standing next to GG1's giving off a lot of heat at 30th Street Station, also when I was young. I assume that would have been from the traction motors. Yes, good memories. I think the station had a good arcade section, important for a youngster!

Here’s my #6 PRR set on the outer loop this past Sunday at the club.

Hello all ..here is a link to see a Bob Hendrich GG1 pulling Randall cars
The demolition of the PRR Pennsylvania Station is unforgivable. It was an architectural masterpiece, and would be almost impossible to build today. Fortunately its destruction led directly to the architectural preservation movement that has saved many other important structures.
BTW, we need another term for plastic trains that run on tinplate track. "Tinplate" really doesn't describe them!

Art, Hotel Pennsylvania is still there. Nice lobby. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rooms. Reminded me of the Shining!

Carey, just seeing that twenty-wheeled diesel (4-6-6-4) take a curve made the video worth watching.

If it was for sale, it would be in my collection by now😜
As Kirk pointed out above, the vandalistic destruction of NYC's Penn Station directly led to the saving of Grand Central Terminal, which was also in the crosshairs for a spell! The late Mrs. Kennedy was influencial in helping to save GCT.
