working on my contest model for Chicago. And still more questions have arose. According to the PRRTHS Blardone paint book the vestibule color changed according to the period modeled. I'm down with the Tuscan color for my year and car but does that include the floor also? Some of you have been in and on the Pullman sleepers in the early 50'swhat color was the vestibule floor? Any answers are appreciated.

Assuming you are modeling a lightweight car, the vestibule was "aluminum," including even the floor (as I recall).
You should go to the PRRTHS discussion site

and ask the experts; you need to join up.
If you are talking heavyweight or steam era, most platform floors were rubber checkard flooring. Squares were about 1 1/2". I have seen black and white and green and red, also red and black. Maybe other combinations of these four colors.
in the 50's the vestibules were metal flooring and black with raised ridges to help stability when wet.
the vestibule flooring was lift-able on either side of main corridor, once door was open to allow access to the stairs.
i am presuming by your query you are referring to the flooring at end of car where doors and steps for egress and entrance are located.
