I'm upgrading an A-A Centipede to PS/2, a question comes up.

What have others used to replace the interesting PC board that has the tether connections between units?  Does the PS/2 Centipede have a similar board that I could buy through parts, or do they handle it a different way?  I'm trying to figure how I'm going to handle the tether and make it look neat.

That is the draw bar the coal turbine had.  I custom made a tether I attached to the draw bar, but I had to do it that way because of the swing of the shell on curves.  For yours, I would cut an access in the shell at the door and use the bracket for the internal harness to mount the external poking out the door.  G

Well, the deed is done.  I couldn't come up with the PS/2 trucks, so I broke out Mr. Dremel and attacked the PS/1 trucks to make them somewhat like the PS/2 ones.  The top is the originals, they have those rather large mounts for the PC Board tether.  For the PS/2, all that had to go, and I finally ended up just cutting all that off and making the trailing trucks look like the PS/2 style trucks.  It actually came out pretty close.

Doing the work I discovered one of the truck ends was bent at the narrow point and there was a crack developing.  I heated it up and straightened it, then added a nice bunch of JB Weld to strengthen it so it doesn't cause an issue.

A shot of the actual PS/2 trucks provided by Alan so I could see what was different from the PS/1.
