PS-3 Smoke Motor Control Issue

I have a MTH PS-3 GBW switcher in for repair. All functions and systems work except for the smoke unit motor. The heater in the smoke unit is producing the smoke, but the motor will not run. Checked the motor and wiring back to the control board, and the motor runs with the plug disconnected and powered by a 9 volt battery. Is the control chip on the main board replaceable?

Yes, but make sure impeller not loose, also measure resistance of motor. Should be about 12 ohms. Occasionally a motor runs on battery at 9V but not at lower pwm DC. G
