Obviously, it says anything you'd like it to say, use your imagination.
This is an MTH factory programmed sound file and this freight sound file is in tens of thousands of units. What I think it says is irrelevant. In fact being a factory programmed file, what I think that it says, it couldn't possibly be.
Which brings the question. What does it say ?
"Blue flag on track 1, Scott ..." I always liked that one ....
Maybe "Give it a kick Sudsy".
yes i have a older big boy ps1 that says the exact same thing,! Give her a kick sandy. he is talking about trying to open a box car door and it is suppose to be stuck, so the man say give her a kick sandy! that's all.
the freight sound are activated after the squealing brakes operates it triggers the pfa features your hearing!
That's all kind of corny!OK well, at least the sounds works
Alan
That is the only phrase that I ever came up with as a possibility.
Give it a kick, Jesse.
However the first two words do not sound like "Give it" at all to me.
Rather more so "Your a"
"kick" for the next
& to me the name is, Jesse.
Ask, MTH. At one point I saw a document that had the phrases in some of these chip. G
I just figured given that there were so many of these made, many would have an idea.
Interesting enough, it seems that everyone seems to hear a different name at the end.
But in regards to the first few words. It does not sound like "Give it" to me or anyone that has ever heard it out of my trains when I asked them. Even when I suggested it to them.
I honestly can't say as the 1st thing I do when I get a PS-1 locomotive after replacing the battery and doing a full reset is programming it to turn all announcements and cab chatter off. This is due to hearing it the 1st time and not understanding it and thinking what I did hear was too goofy to keep.
I can understand that. After hearing this same stupid announcement loop in so many units, working on nearly twenty years now, I have no desire to activate it on any PS1 Unit.
I always thought I heard "give it a kick saucy"
" Give er a kick Dusty" I think there's quite a bit missing including a fork lift sound backing up. Usually a fork lift would shut a stuck door and sometimes do a lot of damage to the door.
I hear "Give her a kick, Chauncey."
I hear "Take a load off, Fannie"
Or maybe it's Annie?
Then again, maybe it is
Ba ba Booey...
he is talking about trying to open a box car door and it is suppose to be stuck, so the man say give her a kick
Close, sort of, but definitely no cigar. They aren't talking about a car door but the whole car. "Kicking" cars is a term used in switching.
