I just changed a PS2 3v board from one engine into a different engine. How do I change the name & ID of the engine on the circuit board, not just on the remote.

Need to me a MTH Tech using the Dealer Loader. G
Can't you use the consumer loader ?
Unfortunately my understanding the consumer version does not permit that capability.
You can assign a Custom Name to the engine directly from the DCS Remote or the DCS App. However, that name change will only be present in the DCS Remote or DCS App into which it was entered. This name change will persist until the engine is Factory Reset or deleted from the DCS Remote or DCS App into which it was entered.
Regardless, in order to make a permanent name change, the DCS Service Loader Program is required.
To enter a Custom Name in a DCS Remote: Menu/System/Engine Setup/Edit Engine/Edit Name.
To enter a Custom Name in a DCS App: Navigate to the Engine Roster Screen, select the engine, navigate to the Engine Settings Screen, and tap on Edit next to the engine's name.
Everything that you need to know about DCS is all in MTH’s “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store! |
Everything that you need to know about DCS WiFi is all in MTH’s “The DCS WiFi Companion 2nd Edition!" |
You're welcome to send it to us, we can do the name change using our service loader, and we can send it back....

Barry,
Is there some place I can get a the DCS Service Loader Program ?
Yes, you can visit MTH for one of the ASC tech classes and then you magically get access to stuff like the dealer loader.

Not that you can access. Also, you need a password that only MTH assigns in order to use the advanced features of the service loader.
