I have a Premier PS2 ABA. The second (tail) "A" unit is stuck in conv mode. As soon as track power is applied, it takes off.
I have tried feature reset with the head unit holding the tail unit back. The cable between the aba looks good. No bent pins. No obvious broken wires.
The head unit works fine by itself.
Any help will be appreciated. Sorry if this is a repeat.

Sounds like the slave board is bad in the trailing "A" unit.
Yes, this is a sypmtom of a bad slave board. Usually the motor FET shorts. This is repairable.
Also, this could be signs of the harness between the units going bad. This allows the Slave to pull too much current and the FET shorts. G
