Sorry guys if this has already been addressed here.  I've regrettably been away from the Forum for a long time and appreciate any help I can get with this, and I apologize if we've already solved this one in the PS3 fleet.

This may or may not be related exclusively to the PS3 version of the Premier Blue Goose Hudson....operation appears normal in every respect except that as scale speed increases above a certain speed range, all sounds drop out.  Initially I discovered that I could restore the sound by hitting the reverse button on the DCS remote and as the engine slowed down, all the recently commanded sounds like whistle blasts suddenly play in addition to a return of "engine sounds" such as chuffing and brake squeal as the engine decelerates.

I started experimenting and found that the "sound cutout point" occurs at different speeds but always in the accelerating range of 33 to 38 SMPH.  When decelerating, sound is restored when decelerating (using the scrolling wheel on the remote) below a speed that varies somewhat but so far always in the range of the low 20s in SMPH.

Anybody know what my problem may be?

Bear,

Sounds like (pun intended) you have "Clickity-Clack" turned on. If you listen very carefully, you'll hear sounds of the train going over rail joins.

It comes on automatically when the engine speed exceeds 30 SMPH or so.

Turn it off by pressing: Menu/Sounds/Clickity-Clack and soft key "OFF"

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!

Brother Barry!  You're amazing!  I would never have thought of that in a million years!!  I'll let you know if that fixed it on this thread later when I get a chance to test your theory.

Yes, I need to call MTH to pre-order my new edition of your DCS Bible for pick up at York, thanks for the reminder.  Looking forward to seeing you, the Miracle Boy survivor, at York.  Thanks so much for your many great contributions to the hobby we all love so much.
