PS3 GG1 nNo speed Control

Hello I have a 30-5118-1 PS3 Railking GG1 that runs full speed. The symptom is it will start out with normal DCS control then after a couple of minutes it will go to high speed. I checked the tach wheel it is not dirty. The tach reader spacing is correct. Does this sound like the tach reader is failing? It also does not operate correctly with conventional.

It could be the tach reader or the board, sounds like a heat-sensitive component.

How exactly does it "not operate correctly" in conventional mode?

It will run in a very jerky manner. I tried turning off the regulated speed portion but in that state it doesn't move at all.
