Hello All. I'm trying my first PS3 upgrade (diesel) kit. I'll be putting it into a USA G scale diesel.

I found some things confusing as I lay it out. There's several wires that I identified that could go to the smoke unit. There are 2 brown wires from pins 8 and 10 that on the diagram are shown going to a generic box representing the smoke unit (heater). I think they are duplicates? (goes to same place or just use 1?)

There are 2 green wires from pins 16 and 18 that show smoke fan. I think those are duplicates also?

There's a purple wire on pin 14 that says it's PV and goes to the smoke unit. I'm guessing that's + to the smoke heaters??

On the other side of the diagram there's a grey wire shown going to another picture of a smoke unit and it's labeled p5v. I'm guessing that's the grey for the + smoke fan? to go with a green?

So the problem is there should be 4 wires and there are 6? they only describe four in the directions. They do state the different colors but I don't know if it follows the PS3 connector?

I have a couple of the kits, but I haven't started an install.  I'll follow along to see, I'm curious as well.

ps3 smoke

According to the diagram from the installation manual, pins 8 & 10 are the smoke power.  By the same token, pins 14 & 18 seem to be the fan.  Now the question is, what's pin 16 that's labeled as Smoke Fan with nothing connected?

The fan is a bit confusing, but it would seem that pins 8 & 10 power the smoke heater.
