I have 2 premier gp35 PS3 diesels same road name, one was a 3 rail [converted to 2 rail] w/ remote couplers the other is a 2 rail with non remote couplers(i added scale Kadees] I would like to swap truck assemblies so each loco will have one remote coupler each so i can remotely uncouple with my DCS. Is this possible?

anybody?
Are they the same vintage? Road name doesn't matter. You need to look at the truck. Do they look the same? If so, swap them. Make sure the motor worm also looks the same. I would try to leave the original motor in the engine and just swap trucks. G
yes trucks are identical and same vintage. But is there a 2 wire conn in the harness or at my ps3 board for the remote coupler?
I don't know. You have to check when you take the shell off. G
ALL PS2 boards of the same age will have the same connectors, Mass Production is the heart of cost reduction.
If required, you can string the wires, just tape them to the harness every bend.
These are PS-3 and one is a scale without remote couplers. So he is asking whether the engine has coupler connectors prewired. I don't know, it may not. G
pulled the shell and found a small front board w/ a yellow empty female conn marked CPLR.also found 5 open female 2 pin with wires [plastic connector colors 2x black,1 green,1 white,1 yellow near the ps3 board and near rear mtr. i need the one for the rear coupler if it exists.
Can you post a picture, that would be helpful. You also may need to trace wires to the 40 pin connector to get this right. G
Are there schematics available for PS3 systems?
