Any other features or differences between early and later PS3 other than the auto start upon throttle apply?

I have a real early P3 NASA #3 Switcher and can only see the Auto start and maybe some Ditch Light functions that might be a little different.

I wonder if the auto start could be disabled with a file change from an earlier PS3?
Didn't realize there were two generations of PS 3. Short of actually running a loco, is there a way to visibly tell from its outward physical appearance (i.e., label affixed to chasis, etc.) which version of PS 3 a locomotive has?
Autostart is software based and will follow the sound file

Matt is probably correct, just pick up an older sound file, install it and you got what you want. I got to tell ya, I never have any problems with my old P2 stuff either.
