No Greenberg today and right now I'm thinking how much more comfortable it is to be in a warm house, so I probably won't go tomorrow.

LOL Eddie, understandably, likes the details.  I'm in western Nassau county on  LI and this morning I dug out my cars from about a foot of snow with a few 2-3 foot drifts.  Luckily my neighbor has a snow blower and took care of the bulk of the work.

For those of you guys on LonGiland who are snowed out of the Greenburg Show this weekend, don't forget Spring Thaw (one can only hope) in Allentown, Pa is feb 23 - 24.

Make it an overnight and come to the OGR Forum breakfast. See the thread on Spring Thaw for details. Be safe this weekend!

(FYI, I've made it from Allentown the the St. John's campus in Jamaica in two hours flat)

I just got back from the show on Sunday, and I agree with the above.  There was some really nice post war stuff, but they wanted top dollar.  There was some prewar stuff that was also going for market value based on condition, some modern stuff going for fair prices, and some discounts on Fastrack if you needed O36 and O48.  I walked out with nothing.

Only about half the space in the gym was occupied when I went there on the second day, though I hear more vendors were in attendance Sunday. Operating layouts were limited to one Digitrax demo on a N scale switching layout (just locos pushing single freight cars) and a modular trolley layout.

Modern 'O' was...well, outnumbered by HO and toys. I did get lucky and found a TMCC Command Base and CAB-1 (probably not at an ideal price, but you know the drill about beggars and choosers), so I guess I can configure ERR upgrade boards now. I also got to speak with Island Modelworks about possibly getting O scale versions of their NJT multilevel cars. (I did post about it here, but it sank out of sight with no comments, so I guess I should have it nuked and relocated to the subway forum)

The show was at best a curiosity, but having been socked with a full-on blizzard literally hours before the doors opened, I'd give it another chance, with the understanding that Greenburg shows in general have been somewhat weak in terms of 'O' offerings.

To my knowledge this is the first time the Greenberg train show has been on Long Island since the merger with the Great America train show 8-10 years ago; I was totally surprised to receive a card in the mail and directions to the show. I always found O items but the picking were slim…I hope they come back in the fall..

I too was happy to see a major show like this back on Long Island. However, due to the 12" of snow in my area, I was unable to get to Queens College.

I hope Greenberg makes plans to come back again in the fall. Given the large population, and the large population of train enthusiasts in the New York metro area, it should be a huge success next time.....weather permitting.
