Here is a question I am sure someone knows the answer to. For modern can motor drives using a DCDS or equivalent, I believe that for one direction +ve is put to one motor pole and -ve to the other. Then this polarity is reversed to change engine direction. My question is do these voltages reference to ground (ie: one is +ve from ground, the other -ve from ground), or are they floating with no reference to frame ground at all? Anyone know?
Thanks, Rod
