I was wondering if you are planning on using new horn and bell sound files for this unit. If you are not using new files, please consider using the horn from the UP 1982 locomotive, number 6-28261. This horn sounds much closer to the real thing than the K5 that was used on the F40's and the last run of SD70ACe's. Also, use an E-Bell instead of a traditional to be closer to the prototype! An E-Bell was used on the Genset switchers so I know the sound file exists somewhere.

Of course I would't be apposed to new sound bites recorded from the real unit

Preach it!!!!!! A phase 3 F40 horn does not belong on a 2018 SD70!  I do like how Lionel made 587’s whistle accurate. I expect to see accurate whistles in the new berks !
