Hello

For those who have The LCS installed and working

1 -  How do you like running it ?

2 - Did you go for all of it and run the whole layout with it or use some of it ?

3 - How much trouble was it to install and where there bugs and head aches ?

Just looking at it , and was wondering about is it as good as seems.

Thanks

JW

1. I like it.  I bought LCS to 'be in the game' so to speak and acquired one engine.  For my non-LCS engines, the LCS controller seems to provide better operation for these engines than the CAB-1.  The LCS hand held is clearly an upgrade from the CAB-1 in terms of usability.  I like the LCD screen and associated icons for starting/shutting down an engine, turning lights on/off etc.

2.  I have only had it for a few months, but I have noticed the LCS controller has become my de facto controller for all the TMCC engines on the layout.

3.  No trouble to install, very simple connections.  Loading engines is also very simple.  The instructions are quite clear.  While the legacy engine I bought came with an install module I am not sure what value those things have because you can manually load the same information during engine set-up, and those steps are quite easy as well.

I am glad I made the leap into Legacy and it has enhanced usability of my layout which has all three OSes running (DCS, TMCC and Legacy).  But, I will be careful adding more engines given the price point they are at, and the fact that I don't really need anymore engines.

I recommend getting the Legacy system.

1.  I like LCS, it is a great way to have layout control of switches and accessories.  I don't use it all the time, but there were times I used just the iPad and left my legacy remote alone.  I like having the option.

2.  so far, I have the Wifi and a sensor track.  In the future I will likely get the STM2 and definitely will be getting a couple ASC2's.

3.  It was no trouble to install.  the only thing that I think is not the best design the plugs for the LCS cables.  They work just, I just feel the design could have been better.
