On a PS2 engine how is the quillable whistle controlled? Also, is there a 1mb file that is O scale that has the quillable whistle feature in it. I'd like to have that in my 20-3130-1 T1 but it has a 1mb board. If I can't not the end of the world but would be a cool feature to have. I looked at an HO file (80-3137-1) which has it on the file. The ADPCM program recognizes it as a PS2 1mb file of course being HO, it won't load into an o scale engine. Any help would be appreciated.

You need a AE-14 Flash board that was factory flashed for QW and correct smoke unit size. Then a compatible sound file that supports qw. They were limited to certain Premier engines in PS-2 3V only. G
Gotya. That's kinda what I thought. Thanks for the response
You can pop the PS32 board in there and get the job done, but the PS32 boards are scarce as hen's teeth right now.
Some of the late PS2 3V Premier steam had a quillable whistle. I know the DM&IR M3 Yellowstone from 2009 did. But yes in PS2 you need the rare PS2 3V flash board or a PS32 board to get that feature.
Funny enough I tried a K4 PS3 file in a PS3 trolley and the quill whistle worked.

The quillable whistle will pretty much work in any PS3 board. The PS3 board in the trolley is the same as the PS3 board in a diesel, and some diesel files have a quillable whistle, so I'm not surprised it worked.
