WOW, it is mysteriously quiet here on the forum today.
I've gotten NO emails from the Forum from people I follow.
Wonder if York has anything to do with it?
Best,
Dave

You think? That and people dropping everything to look through the new MTH catalog.
Travel day for many headed to York. Thursday and Friday; if you listen carefully you should be able to hear the crickets...... My condolences to anyone/everyone that can't/won't be making the trip.
Gilly
And speaking of travel, we have some fairly severe weather moving through the mid-Atlantic region this afternoon so be on guard if you're traveling in the area.
Supposed to be much better tomorrow.
Guys,
There's a saying that some of you WWII vets will remember "All's Quiet on the Western Front" except in this case York is in the East.
Here goes nuthin' "All's Quiet on the Eastern Front! "
Here's to more noise from our York Vets!
Mike Maurice
(crickets chirping, crickets chirping.........)
Mike,
I remember that saying well... but not EVERYBODY is west of York
... and about the chirping cricketts; one word... well two:
Ribbit... SLURP!!!
Best,
Dave

"All Quiet on the Western Front" was a famous book about WWI, but that's OK. War is war. And quiet means the same.
There was a time when some attending Forumites would post great reports about what was happening at each York, but over the past several years there have been very few who have taken the time to post any information at all. Almost like blackouts - York reports hit a dead zone. Hope we'll get a bit more information this year from those fortunate enough to attend.
Yes, the old "Bandit meet" reports were great. Now there is barely a whimper about them. Sigh
Dear Breezinup,
I happen to be a non-vet from the 60's who grew up wanting to go to Vietnam but was considered 4F. ( I am disabled. In 1975, I turned 18) I grew up watching Vic Morrow in "Combat" and yes, I had a GI Joe doll before they shrunk them down.
I am sorry if I offended any Vets as you fought for our country valiantly, I did not mean it. I am just one of those who stays behind tending to different chores while I would rather be at York! For those who have gone, there seem to be 2 favorite times of year Fall (York) and Spring(York).
I can't wait for Spring!!!!!!!
Mike Maurice
Yeah, it's been like a ghost town around here this week.
"All quiet on the western front" is still correct in this case. Since York is to our east, we are the quiet western front. The noise is to our east. About now the guys should be hooping it up at Tuesday's.
