One needn't look any further than this description of actions to ascertain what we're dealing with in regards to this poster.
There are (were?) two RS stores within 6 miles of me. I have bought things from both stores in the last month for my layout. I use their speaker wire for my layout and their toggle switches to control power.
Yes, the focus of both stores is on phones. However, the staff at both stores were friendly and knew where to find the toggle switches, resistors and other seldom sold items. They could see on their computer if it was in stock and where it was on the shelf or in the back room. The young staff may know more about phones but they cheerfully met my needs.
I will miss RS. It was a good store with good products.
