At least it is for me.
This is a salute to the high quality, reliability, durability and affordability of the RailKing line of MTH products.
I believe that the desirability of Railking may depend on the type of layout you have. Mine is a classic Postwar tubular track layout with mostly 031 curves. It is of moderate size (36 feet long and 3 to 4 feet wide) with many sidings and 022 switches, and reverse loops at each end of the 2 track main lines.
The traditional or semi scale size of most Railking engines and train cars tend to look better on my type of layout and enable me to make longer trains.
